GALL BLADDER
The gallbladder is a small, pear-shaped organ located beneath the liver on the right side of the abdomen. Its primary role is to store and concentrate bile, a digestive fluid produced by the liver that helps break down fats in the small intestine.
🧠 Function of the Gallbladder
• Bile storage: The liver continuously produces bile, which is stored in the gallbladder between meals.
• Bile release: When food—especially fatty food—enters the small intestine, the gallbladder contracts and releases bile through the bile ducts into the digestive tract.
